Glad to see the snow disappearing and the evenings getting clearer and longer.  We've had some fantastic views of the sunsets from the top of our hill - yes the sun has been shining! 

Have delivered a range of products to Kidzeco recently (next to the station in Bathgate).  Mini jewellery wraps, baby memory wraps, corsages, scented sachets.   Also have a "Memories Quilt" on display there for all those mums who might wish to have their baby's clothes made into a lasting keepsake.  Just get in touch with myself or Tracy at Kidzeco if you would like to discuss.  (Prices from £20 - you supply the clothes and we do the rest!) More samples of Memories Quilts" coming soon....one for little boys and a dress shaped wallhanging for little girls.

Working on wedding themed products at the moment for the WEDDING BOX Bridal Fair at Howden on 21 March.  Personalised jewellery wraps, mini wraps, gifts for bridesmaids, wedding ring cushions all on display and special offers for those attending the fair.  Really looking forward to it....might see some of you there?

Just joined UK Handmade - a lovely website featuring creative talent from all over the UK with lots of beautiful jewellery and other pretty items created by designers, creatives or artisans!

New products just on notonthehighstreet.com - little pink corsage and scented sachets as featured on my own website.  Have been working on "kit bags" using recycled fabric and a bit of applique (Parisien ladies!).  These are ideal for underwear or chunky jewellery as an addition to your make up and toiletries bag.  (you know all the little bits that get lost at the bottom of your bag!).  Will be featuring the kit bags on the site over the next couple of days.

KIDZ-ECO in Bathgate looking for donations of baby clothes, prams and toys.  Just drop me an email and I'll put you in touch with Tracy.

Lovely weather today - so sunny - but still pretty cold!  The snowdrops have appeared in the garden again - roll on spring!

Happy Valentine's Day to all you romantics out there!  Just had a lovely weekend at Mull, walking, swimming, wining and dining.  Weather was lovely - so calm and sunny even if a bit cold.  Had a trip to Tobermory which is so quaint with its colourful houses.  Back to Oban on the ferry today and home in time to get started sewing tomorrow!

Just delivered a parcel of goodies to FLUX in Edinburgh last week.  Scented sachets with "love" detail and mini jewellery wraps with heart applique (part of the "wee-cycled" range).  Lovely for Valentines or Mother's Day.  Also delivered some new stock to GREEN and PINK at The Centre in Livingston - scented sachets and large hanging hearts.

Starting to get organised for the WEDDING BOX wedding fair at the Howden Park Centre in Livingston on 21 March.  Will be taking along a range of mini wraps for the bridesmaids and flower girls, scented sachets for the bride and boxed jewellery wraps which make gorgeous gifts for any of the girls in the wedding party.  Some limited edition boudoir bags will also be available ("wee-cycled" range).

As you can see, the site has had an update.  Some new products with more to come over the next few months.  I will be attending the WEDDING BOX Wedding Fair at Howden Park Centre in Livingston on 21 March so will have some new jewellery wraps on sale with a bridal theme.  Also some wedding ring cushions and little wraps for the mother of the bride and groom.  Looking forward to seeing you there!


Have you heard about the new venture in Bathgate to be opening soon?  It's KIDZ-ECO, a Community Interest Company, which is based in King Street, Bathgate, near the station.  Tracy (the Director of the project) is looking for nearly new children's clothes, toys and equipment to sell in the shop and there will be a resource room for mums to feed and change their babies.  Wee Treasures will have items on display as well as some other local crafters with jewellery etc.  It's really exciting as it's a first for West Lothian of this type of project.  Keep watching this space for the launch date - around a week away!

Hi All


Can't believe January is almost over.  Running a wee bit behind schedule with the new products, however they are almost ready and  the pics have been taken.  Hope to have them on the site by 1 February.  (Another deadline!!)

The new range is called wee-cycled and it includes little corsages made from wool, felt and linen.  There are also lavender scented sachets with "love" detail, vintage lace and recycled ribbon.  The hanging hearts are lavender scented too and there is a vintage silk heart trimmed with cream lace and a calico heart trimmed with gorgeous red ribbon.  Lovely for Valentine's Day or Mother's Day.

Another addition to the jewellery wraps is "Posh Frock" made with netting, ric rac braid and blue and white dotty fabric.  These retail at £10 (unboxed) and come grift wrapped with free p&p.  These are lovely for prom gifts or bridesmaids and flower girls.

I am currently working on little hanging sachets using recycled fabric and appliqued hearts.  These should be ready for the site next week.

The Hearts and Diamonds Mini Wraps will be discontinued soon to make way for the new ranges.

Great to see a change in the weather and I feel that spring is just around the corner, but I heard that some snow is on the way again?...................

Can you believe the snow??!!!  It's great when you don't have to go anywhere but not so good when the cupboards are bare and the salt cellar empty.
I must admit I am a big kid at heart and love to see the snow at Christmas.  I measured the amount on our wee table in the back garden and it is actually 12" deep!  Sad to take the decorations down but once the big tidy up is over I can get started on the new "wee treasures" range for 2010.
I have always been a great believer in recycling - even when it wasn't trendy - and as a child kept little buttons and pieces of fabric for ever.  Now I don't need an excuse for my obsession and can put all the bits and pieces I have hoarded over the years to good use.  Yes - it is the WEE TREASURES "WEE-CYCLED" Range and it will appear on this website over the next month!

Please come back from time to time and check out the new goods - I will be working hard to get the samples done and the photos taken to put on the site.

Hi All


Just to say a BIG thank you to all who purchased today at Portobello and a few weeks ago at St Margaret's in Livingston.  It's great to meet my customers and hear all your lovely feedback. 

New items being sent to Flux in Edinburgh this week - little tartan purses with felt corsage detail and a few other goodies!

My website will be undergoing a few changes after Christmas and I hope to have a wider range of products on the site.  A new "eco friendly" range using recycled fabrics is in the pipeline.


Off to Mo's 1960's theme party next week with the gang - hippies, mods and rockers, cool in a kaftan, and whoever else jumps on the Hippy Bus!

It's been busy here with new ideas and fabrics coming together.  Just supplied Flux in Leith, Edinburgh with a new stock of jewellery wraps in lovely fabrics with silk dupion detail and trimmed with lovely satin ribbon bows.  Also new are Baby Memory Wraps to keep baby's wee treasures safe...a lock of hair, the first photo, etc....the front of the wrap is trimmed with some cute little baby buttons.

Gallery 1 in Whitburn Road, Bathgate is now "Green & Pink" and has just taken delivery of the new wraps. Will be supplying a range of gifts for the shop including lingerie bags, little makeup purses and little hanging hearts to add detail to the home.  This shop has a terrific selection of original handmade gifts by local crafters and artists. 

Wee Treasures will also have a selection of mini wraps on show at the Christmas exhibition at St John's Hospital in Livingston.  The range is called Little Jewel with each wrap having an individual name...Little Diamond, Little Pearl etc.... exhibition runs from October to December and visitors may purchase any of the crafts on show. 

Looking forward to the Craft Fair season - Wee Treasures will be at St Margaret's in Livingsotn on 14 November and Portobello on 28 November.  See you there!

Hi everyone

Here we are at the end of January with Valentines Day fast approaching and I've just delivered my first batch of new wraps for 2009 to Flux, St Bernard Street, Edinburgh.  Going with the theme of Valentines Day, the gorgeous creamy calico mixed with deep red hearts and striking ribbon makes them the perfect gift for all you romantics out there.

I'm currently in the process of designing a fresh new range for the website, with new product lines being added in the coming months. Keep watching this space!
